HYDRA FACIAL REVIEW: IS IT WORTH IT?

It’s late at night. You’re getting ready for bed. Staring in the mirror picking apart every inch of your face, searching for all the flaws. Especially since we are coming off of winter, we are all thinking our skin is ruddy and bleh. Every little wrinkle you have is peeking out at full force.

We all do it. I am always searching for a way to make my skin look more youthful and have more of a glow. Sure I can wear makeup with highlighters galore…and trust me I do…but are there any other options?

Queue the Hydra Facial.

Hydra facial s the latest craze in the beauty & skin care world. All the celebrities (such as Kate Winslet & Beyonce) are doing it to achieve results immediately. My friend reached out to me a few weeks ago and told me she had the most amazing facial and I had to try it. She raved about how much better her skin looked. I was sold and dying to try it. Quite the splurge at $185, I still searched around for locations who did the service in Nashville. Luck hit me and the sweetest girl ever named Ashley (obviously she is a bad ass with that name) had seen my blog and just so happened to be an esthetician at Dr. Sieveking’s office downtown Nashville contacted me about trying a hydrafacial. I booked it with her last week. She let me know ahead of time there was no downtime and at most I might be a little flushed for 30 minutes or so directly following.

I drove my little happy booty down to Nashville after my Novo class in Franklin. Their doctor’s office is in the cutest little house downtown. I walked in and filled out some paperwork, anxiously awaiting Ashley to greet me. When she finally did, she proved she literally is the sweetest human. My first thought was that I was instantly jealous of her perfect makeup because I’m ashamed to admit I looked a hot mess. She fully informed me what we were going to do and gave me a chance to answer any questions about my hydra facial. Here is my before photo. I’m looking super hot in that cap I know.

Basically the hydra facial process is broken down into 4 steps. The first step is the cleansing and exfoliation. It almost felt like a microdermabrasion tip exfoliating the top layer of my skin. All the dead cells are removed, leaving your skin resurfaced. The second step is an acid peel. Don’t freak out! It’s not the kind that makes your skin peel off. It just helps release all the grime from your pores. The third step is extractions. This is my favorite thing to get done to my skin. I know I’m a weirdo but I love knowing all the gunk is coming out of my clogged pores. It isn’t painless and the vortex suction is used to clean out the pores. The final step is hydration. And boy does it hydrate. You can literally feel the hydration flushing through your face. I like to compare it to steam cleaning your couch. You know how you have to flush it with water and cleaning solution to bring out the gunk? Then you see all the murky water in the tank showing what it sucked out? Yep that’s exactly what the hydra facial does. It flushes antioxidants and hyaluronic acid in your skin to plump & feed that beautiful skin of yours.

My skin felt so revitalized directly following. The hydra facial does exactly what it says it’s going to do. You 100% achieve immediate results, and it honestly gets better within the next few days. My skin glowed right away and like Ashley promised, it was just flushed a little. By the time I left my lunch afterward, it had calmed down completely. So zilch downtime and immediate results. I’m sold for life. Technically I could walk in with mascara and my eyebrows done and have it done on my lunch break. Walk out with perfect skin. Perfect for you on the go ladies too. It takes 30-45 minutes max. The best way to get maximum results is to maintenance every 4-6 weeks.

The hydra facial’s perfect for all skin types or conditions. It’s also excellent for resolving:

  • Fine Lines and Wrinkles
  • Elasticity and Firmness
  • Skin Tone Evenness & Vibrancy
  • Skin Texture
  • Hyperpigmentation/Photo Damage
  • Oily/Congested Skin
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Advanced Signs of Aging
