Morning Skin Care Regime

You guys asked and I listened! I’ve been getting a lot of requests on what I do for skin care so in addition to filming a video for my new Youtube channel, I’m also including a blog on it for more details. No it’s not just my pregnancy glow! I put work into this skin of mine and it still has a lot of work to do. I’m gonna break it down for you guys in two sections: Morning and Night time routines. Keep in mind that I do not do every part go the regime I’m posting every day. I also switch it up depending on how my skin is feeling.

So here we go….

Cleansers: I wake up in the mornings like a zombie or mombie as I call it. I know, I know… soon that will get even worse with two kids. I wash my face with my Philosophy Purity Cleanser or Visha Mommy Purifying Cleanser on a normal day. If my skin is more on the dry/parched side, then I use my Eve Lom morning cleanser. I use it sparingly because well its pricey. One of my best friends, Jessica, told me about this product. She’s my celebrity skin insider and tells me all of the best products. You guys need to check out her blog ASAP. The Purity Cleanser is amazing because even though it cleanses and tones your skin, it’s extremely gentle on sensitive skin. So if you’ve had a peel or facial recently it’s safe to use without damaging your skin.  The Visha Purifying Cleanser is formulated for the safety of pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers. It is sulfate and paraben-free. The ingredients in this cleanser helps to address hormonal breakouts and irritation. Eve Lom Morning Cleanser is a lightweight cleanser, yet it has a thick consistency of a balm to really hydrate your skin. It uses the four Eve Lom signatures: Papaya fruit enzymes which exfoliate your skin and brightens it, carrot oil which helps to stimulate collagen production, egyptian chamomile oil that helps soothe your skin and eucalyptus oil that unclog your pores and makes your skin glow. Also I use the suggested muslin cloths anytime I use Eve Lom because they are gentle on your skin, 100% cotton and well because the French use muslin cloths to take off their makeup and who doesn’t wanna pretend they’re french?!

Speaking of the tricks of the French women, next I use Micellar Cleansing Water. I use it to take off any existing makeup leftover if I wore makeup the night before. I can’t wait to go in detail about this awesome product a little deeper in my PM skin care post later on.

Masks: I love to use Dr. Brandt Oxygen Facial during the day. Sometimes I’ll draw a bubble bath and throw this on my face while I’m relaxing. It’s intended to boost your skin’s luminosity and freshen tired skin in less than 5 minutes. I apply it to damp skin by patting not rubbing it in. Let it sit and feel the bubbles tingle. I love that feeling and I’m almost addicted to it. Then rinse it off. A couple other masks I enjoy using to freshen my skin for the day are Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask and Rose Stem Cell Mask. The Cucumber gel mask is very gentle and hydrates dry skin with extracts of cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, sugar maple, sugarcane, orange, lemon, bilberry, and aloe. Man that was lengthy. It is also perfect to soothe skin after such things as sunburns, peels, extraction, etc. I keep both of my PTR masks in the refrigerator and you can leave on for as little as 10 minutes up to overnight. I use them about 2 times per week, The Rose stem cell mask is intended for anti-aging; “five rose stem cells are blended with four rose extracts in a cooling, rejuvenating gel to help stimulate cell turnover for younger looking skin. Helps repair the signs of aging, including the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, dehydration, dullness and sagging as it strengthens and tones the look of skin. ”

Eye Cream: My favorite eye cream in the world is NeoCutis Lumiere Bio-restorative Eye Cream. I have gotten so much positive feedback on this from ladies who love this suggestion. I use it at night and in the morning. It is ideal for puffiness and fine lines. It contains an advanced complex of PSP growth factors to boost cell’s ability to repair skin while reducing wrinkles. The hyaluronic acid plumps and hydrates fine lines. Basically it makes these tired eyes look more youthful. Also I’ve been using Visha Mommy Bright Eye Booster. Visha uses a ‘plant based peptide combined with skin brightening Emblica extract and nourishing vitamins to strengthen the collagen-elastin, while dramatically reducing puffiness and visibly minimizing the appearance of under-eye dark circles.’ It is very hydrating and feels very cool on your skin. I can already see a difference especially regarding puffiness.

Serums: I’m a huge fan of Skin Ceuticals CE Ferulic Acid. It is a daily vitamin C serum that contains antioxidants to diminish appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve elasticity of skin and brightens your skin’s complexion. Guys this stuff is expensive yes, but holy shit it is legit. I could see that glow in my skin after just a few uses. I don’t even wear makeup during the day because it has made my skin so freaking amazing. 5 drops that’s all you need. This is a MUST. Forego a pair of shoes or something a month, trust me it’s worth it. I’ve recently started using Visha’s mommy skin care line they sent to me. Their Mommy Brightener with Illuminotext is ideal for women dealing with hyper pigmentation and acne due to all the hormone changes. The exfoliants in the serum aid the pores in opening and stimulate collagen production to firm your skin. It’s intended to brighten your skin. If you’re pregnant especially you know you are gonna be yearning for that.

**BTW Ladies, Visha is offering my followers 15% their purchase with the code Nashville15. Check out their story and website, especially if you or anyone you know is pregnant. I’m loving their mommy line.**

Sunscreen: Elta MD UV Sunscreen is the bees knees. I’m usually not a fan of sunscreens because they’re chalky and feel heavy on my skin. So far this is my favorite sunscreen yet. It’s lightweight and oil free to protect acne prone skin. It protects your complexion with SPF 46 and shields UVA/UVB rays. They also have a tinted version I wanna try.

Ok peeps there ya go. My daily routine in a nutshell. Go forth and get that glowy skin girlfriend. Just don’t tell your husbands or boyfriends I told you about this holy grail of products because they don’t need to know haha. Our little secret….along with the world-wide web. I linked all products below except Visha but directly linked them in the descriptions. Take care of your skin ladies! You’ll thank me later. Look for my PM skincare post within the week.
