My top requested topics have been: how to start a blog and get brands to work with you, my skin care routine and my daily makeup go to’s. Today I’m sharing my day-to-day makeup faves but don’t worry I’m sharing the others before the end of the year too. ALSO I’m filming a get ready with me YouTube video tomorrow. So for now I’m gonna share with you the products I use on a daily basis and what I do with them.

Everyday Makeup Routine – Base

After I start with skincare (see my nighttime skincare routine here and day time here…will be updating soon) I always put on Becca priming filter because if you guys follow me at all you know momma loves some glow. Like I want the astronauts and angels above to see me and be like hey girl, that highlight is on point. Primer is important with or without the glow because it basically helps your skin take in the makeup and gives your skin a more refreshed look. Just like when an artist paints a good primer always helps make paint go on smoother. Next I put on It Cosmetics CC cream in light/medium with my Morphe buffing brush. Guys this CC cream is the best I’ve ever tried, especially if you have dry skin like me. It hydrates like no other and reduces wrinkles. Also if I’m not using one of my blenders the Morphe buffing brush is soooo good. Like my fave and my makeup artist’s fave. Then I blend in Bye Bye under eye cream in light (there’s a reason it’s award-winning) in a V shape under my eyes. It’s very effective in concealing skin imperfections including dark circles, bags, redness, hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries, age spots, and discoloration. I either use this blender or this dupe thats currently bogo 1/2 off but often I use my ring finger as well and you just wanna barely dab going in an upward motion. Then I set it with either Becca blurring setting powder or Tarte translucent setting powder and my trusted Morphe setting brush that can also double for a contour brush. Setting powder keeps your makeup from settling into fine lines but also smearing with creams etc. I then use a large powder brush to lightly dust setting powder on my face to keep my powder blush and bronzer from sticking to the foundation.

Everyday Makeup Routine – Face

Ok let’s do a quick contour and highlight. My go to bronzer for Contour is Hoola but I do use others sometimes too when I’m playing that I have put on My Makeup Faves. I use the Morphe brush to contour with Hoola and start at the side of my cheekbone closest to my ear and swipe back and forth on my cheekbones. I hit barely under them to really make them pop. I start at the ear to keep the harshest part away from the apples of my cheeks. Next I take a bronzer brush (THIS one is my favorite) and dust this shimmery bronzer on the top of my forehead from temple to temple and back over my cheekbones quickly like I did with Hoola. Then I use the Morphe E4 brush to pop some Becca blush on the apples of my cheeks and lightly dust up. My friend Heather turned me onto this and I ALWAYS  get compliments on this color. Finally I use Becca highlighting powder dusted with this brush (um it’s only $5!!!)  on the tops of my cheekbones, the tip of my nose and above my eyebrows (sometimes the arch too).

Everyday Makeup Routine – Eyes

I don’t like to do a lot of work on my eyes and keep them simple most days but a little trick is to use Mac paint pot in Ochre or Painterly and blend lightly with your finger all over the eyelid. That gives the eyelid a good base and takes away any veins etc. Then I just use Hoola again with a crease/blending eye brush to give the eyelid some definition and depth. I fill in my eyebrows with this brow pencil because its super simple and used by so many makeup artists. I personally use medium brown because I dig the darker eyebrow trend. Then I top it off with some mascara. A few of my personal favorites are: Marc Jacobs, Tarte and Loreal Paradise (buy one get one 1/2 off).

Everyday Makeup Routine – Lips

I like to keep them soft and neutral and my absolute favorite is this lip color and lip liner from MAC. I always outline my lip line to give an appearance of a fuller lip. This color is so complimentary on practically every skin tone.

Everyday Makeup Routine – Setting

Lastly I set it with setting spray to keep it going fresh all day. My faves are this one from Urban Decay and Tatcha. The tatcha mist keeps you looking dewy while the Urban Decay sets your makeup for the day.

I hope you guys love this quick & easy everyday makeup routine. Please message me with any questions.
