I moved to Nashville 8 years ago and don’t get me wrong it was still super trendy and cool. Mind you I am from  small town USA so anything was cool at that point. Matt, my husband, has lived here for 14 years so he’s definitely more if a local than me. Regardless I still feel local because I was here before the craziness and I had my children here. This is my home. Anyone who has been here for a few years will tell you… Nashville has changed. So much going on all the time, so many new restaurants popping up left and right. I get so many messages asking what to do in Nashville and the truth is… there is SO MUCH! But hey I’m gonna try.

When I started discussing my partnership with Lincoln I knew I wanted to explore Nashville in the Navigator 2018. On Saturday they dropped it off and told me all about the cool features. Let me break it down for you:

 || Performance ||

  • 450 horsepower, electronic control, dual-point fuel injection, 6 different Drive modes
|| Technology (My Favorite)||
  • 4G LTE Wifi hotspot connects up to 10 devices
  • Wirelessly charge your phone
  • Customizable Driver Experience
  • Windshield Projected Display (Lincoln is the first manufacturer to use digital light projection technology in its head up display
  • Each screen can display different content to give each passenger a personalized experience
  • Lane Keeping System uses a camera that is mounted behind the windshield’s rearview mirror that detects an impending drift and steers you back in your lane
  • Adaptive Cruise Control has stop and go capability to scan the road ahead and also brake and accelerate in pace of traffic. In addition the system can warn the driver when an object is detected ahead and if the driver doesn’t respond in time, automatically pre charge the brakes.
  • Lincoln App – Unlock and start your Lincoln remotely, get roadside assistance and schedule complimentary pick up and delivery when your car needs t be serviced. The pick up & delivery is by far the best of the app for a busy mom like myself. They give you a loaner of equal or greater value as well.

  • Panoramic vista roof so even second row passenger enjoy the view
  • One touch tilt and lie forward Power fold second row seats in addition to power reclining third row for maximum space and comfortability
  • LED illuminated Lincoln Star logo shines as you approach the car
    A few of our favorites of the Lincoln Navigator were the LED light that shined when you got in the car (pictured below at night), the steps the car come down as you walk up the car (Keatyn loved that!), the trunk window opens without having to open the entire truck which is a mother’s dream to quickly grab something out, the one touch power seat was seamless, the new grill on the front that made my husband super happy. I love how much room this car has. I upgraded to an SUV last year when Charlie was born and Lincoln was actually in my top 3. I was initially intimidated by the size and opted for a smaller SUV but after driving this, I wish I would’ve gone a different way. Matt drove it to work on Monday because we are debating making a switch and I’m pretty sure he fell in love and didn’t wanna return it.

On Sunday we went to brunch for 4 hours with our friends but the conversation was so rich, I could care less. We checked out a new hot spot, Hemingway, and it was delicious. Since there are so many things to do during a weekend in Nashville, I wanted to share our faves on what to do:

  • A Titan’s Game
  • Press game. We were in the top two last year. It’s a MUST.
  • Top Golf. One of my favorite places in Nashville.
  • Cheekwood.
  • Stroll around 12 South, Gulch, Downtown.
  • Centennial Park.
  • Check out a concert downtown, at the Ryman, Opry, Nissan Stadium, Bridgestone, Ascend Amphitheater or one of the many, many venues we have in Nashville. Check out our event page for shows.
  • Be a tourist. Drive through Music Row. Tour the Opry (the BEST tour ever). Visit Country Music Hall of Fame. Take a bus tour. Check out the bars on Broadway. You won’t find locals there but it’s a necessity for Nashville.
  • Check out the Frist or the art museum at Gray & Dudley.
  • Brunch. Brunch so hard. Nashville is known for our killer food. I’m a huge foodie and even I can’t keep up. There’s still an 85% chance I’ve eaten there so feel free to email me with questions or referrals. Here is my best of dessert list from last year. As an update check out No Baked cookie dough, you’ll thank me later. Here are also some kid friendly restaurants I love.

I’m working on some Nashville to do and eat posts. In the meantime Native In Nashville has a sweet best brunch list you NEED to check out. She also has a best Nashville patios post. Let’s support out local friends.

Thank you so much to Lincoln again for letting me drive this car all weekend and for entertaining us. They are seriously the sweetest people in the world. Please message me with any questions at all or comment below. Xo.
