Dirty Martini Potato Chips: The Dangerously Addictive Snack You Need for Football Season

Your dirty martini has officially become a snack, and as someone who firmly believes olives are a food group, I regret absolutely nothing. These Dirty Martini Potato Chips are salty, tangy, crunchy, a little funky, and exactly the kind of snack that somehow disappears before you can even say, “Okay, one more handful.”

And with football season kicking off, the timing could not be better.

Whether you’re tailgating, hosting everyone at your house for the game, or just looking for an easy appetizer that feels a little more exciting than your standard chips and dip, you NEED to try these.

Fair warning: everyone is going to ask you for the recipe.

A Dirty Martini, But Make It a Snack

I love a good dirty martini. And when I say dirty, I mean dirty. Give me the olives. Give me the brine. Give me all of it.

So naturally, turning those same salty, briny flavors into a pile of crispy potato chips made perfect sense.

Think loaded nachos, except instead of Mexican-inspired toppings, we’re going full martini bar. Crispy potato chips get loaded with chopped Castelvetrano olives, pepperoncini, blue cheese, fresh dill, and a creamy Greek yogurt drizzle made with olive brine and pepperoncini juice.

It sounds slightly unhinged.

It tastes incredible.

Why You’ll Love These Dirty Martini Potato Chips

First, there is almost no actual cooking involved. That automatically makes this one of my favorite entertaining recipes.

Even better, Dirty Martini Potato Chips are completely customizable. This isn’t one of those recipes where you need to measure every ingredient down to the teaspoon. I tend to eyeball everything and add more or less depending on what I love.

More olives? Obviously.

Extra blue cheese? Go for it.

Want that drizzle extra briny? You already know what to do.

That makes these perfect for casual entertaining because you can throw them together in minutes and easily make a larger platter for a crowd.

Ingredients

This is very much a “measure with your heart” recipe, so use the amounts that taste good to you.

For the Dirty Martini Drizzle

How to Make Dirty Martini Potato Chips

1. Start with the chips

Spread your potato chips across a large serving platter. I like arranging them in a fairly even layer so we can get those toppings on as many chips as possible.

Because nobody wants to be stuck with the sad, naked chips at the bottom.

2. Add the olives and pepperoncini

Scatter your chopped Castelvetrano olives and pepperoncini all over the chips.

Again, we’re measuring with our hearts here. If you’re an olive person like me, don’t be shy.

3. Bring on the blue cheese

Sprinkle blue cheese crumbles over everything.

The creamy, funky blue cheese with the salty olives and tangy pepperoncini is SO good.

4. Make the drizzle

Add plain Greek yogurt to a small bowl, then mix in a splash of olive brine and pepperoncini juice.

Keep adding a little liquid at a time until the mixture becomes thin enough to drizzle over the chips.

Yes, “drizzleable” is the official measurement we’re going with here.

5. Drizzle it up

Spoon or drizzle the Greek yogurt mixture all over your loaded chips.

You want enough to get that creamy, briny flavor throughout without completely drowning the chips and making them soggy.

6. Finish with fresh dill

Add plenty of fresh dill over the top and serve immediately.

Then prepare to become obsessed.

The Perfect Football Season Appetizer

Football food doesn’t always have to mean wings, queso, and sliders. I love all of those things, but sometimes you need something unexpected on the table.

These chips are it.

They’re ridiculously easy to assemble, look impressive piled onto a big serving platter, and have enough bold flavor to stand out among all the usual game-day food.

Plus, you can prep your toppings ahead of time. Chop the olives and pepperoncini, make your drizzle, crumble your cheese, and keep everything refrigerated. Then, when your guests arrive, assemble the platter in just a few minutes.

That way, the chips stay perfectly crunchy.

A Few Tips Before You Make Them

Use a sturdy potato chip. You want something thick enough to hold all those toppings without immediately breaking.

Don’t assemble them too early. The toppings and drizzle will eventually soften the chips, so I recommend assembling these shortly before serving.

Adjust the brine to your taste. If you like your martinis extra dirty, add a little more olive brine to that drizzle.

Serve immediately. These are at their absolute best when the chips are still crispy and everything is fresh.

If You Like Your Martinis Dirty…

You already know you’re going to love these.

They’re salty. They’re briny. They’re creamy. They’re crunchy. They’re just a little funky from that blue cheese. And somehow, every ingredient makes you want to go back for another bite.

So if you like a good stinky, dirty martini like I do, you’re going to absolutely inhale these.

Make a platter for your next tailgate or football watch party, and don’t be surprised when everyone crowds around it asking, “Wait…what is IN this?”

Just make sure you grab your handful first.
