New Years Eve just isn’t complete for most with a toast of champagne. Things have taken a huge turn since kids, so this momma chooses to stay in pretty much every year now. Since Keatyn is now 5 she always wants to celebrate too so I have started to make her mocktails when we celebrate. I thought I would share with you some party drink recipes to make it fun:
Kid Friendly “Champagne Mocktail”
- Sparkling Grape, Apple or Cranberry Juice
- Frozen Sorbet, Cotton Candy or Gummies
How easy is that? They feel so grown up just by adding a touch of something fun to their sparkling juice and also I put it in a plastic champagne flute. That way we can cheers the New Year together.
Now on to the grown woman drink. My love, my champagne. Ok a couple simple hacks to make your champagne look even more fancy on New Years Eve.
- Add cotton candy. 1. It’ll turn it pretty colors 2. Make a beautiful garnish at the top of your guests glasses.
- Add sorbet. My friend Chris did this once and man was it good. (Almost like a dessert) Rasberry is the best if you can find it. Add champagne or prosecco and stir.
Another party drink recipe:
- Champagne or Prosecco
- 3/4 teaspoon sugar
- Angostura Bitters
- Lemon Peel for garnish
Place sugar in bottom of champagne flute and top with 8 shakes of angostura bitters. Top it with the bubbles and garnish with lemon peel. So easy and simple but it has such a tasty & unique flavor.
